MaBlerh to host The Real Housewives of Durban reunion
Why MaBlerh is the host of Real Housewives of Durban reunion

Kaya 959’s very own Mthokozisi Cele, better known as MaBlerh, is set to host The Real Housewives of Durban reunion. MaBlerh, who’s not short of words, will assume the role of mediator amongst the housewives, as they account for all their dirt that transpired this past season.
The radio and media personality will host the two-part reunion set to air on Showmax on May 3 and 10. MaBlerh has received the endorsement of Let it Rain Films executive producer, Sam Kelly and the millions of Durbanites.
Why MaBlerh is the host of Real Housewives of Durban reunion
Durbanites have been yearning for a familiar voice to assume the responsibility of host in the reunion, and this sentiment was echoed by MaBlerh. “The reunion of The Real Housewives has never been hosted by someone from Durban before, someone who understands the landscape and social dynamics of us as Durbanites.”
Kelly, who sang MaBlerh’s praises mentioned that he was chosen because the muso has his hand on the pulse of culture. MaBlerh “understands the world of The Real Housewives, which has become a pop culture phenomenon and is genuinely interested in it.”
“We believe that he will bring the strong presence we need to host this reunion with care, tact and maturity, as the conversations will tackle the themes that have come up throughout the season,” Kelly exclaimed.
Speaking about his love for the show, MaBherh vindicated himself as the host by showing how much of a fan he is of the franchise. “During the airing of the first season of The Real Housewives of Joburg, I tweeted that we need The Real Housewives of Durban because I knew that the Durban ladies would deliver the goods. My wish came true and I have been glued to the screen since the pilot.”
Everything we know about The Real Housewives of Durban Season 3
Recapping on the finale of season 3, new alliances were formed while some ties were severed. Drama queens, Nonku and Jojo’s friendship seems to have stood the test of time, as the ladies have formed such a strong bond that they feel they don’t need anyone else.
We’ve seen an unhinged Jojo throw a fit with some of the ladies and it stands to reason that there’s more to be unpacked about those fights. Annie and Sorisha’s friendship is well-documented over the past couple of seasons, and they recruited Slee and Maria to the fold.
The instigator in the group is Sane, and what we’ve loved about her is that she’s unfiltered. Mbali is one character that drops in and out of the show. This is made worse by the fact that she’s straddling the line between the two cliques, and doesn’t want to choose a side. All of the drama – and more – will be unpacked in the finale.
Catch the two-part roundup of season 3 of The Real Housewives of Durban on Showmax on the 3rd and 10th May to get the juicy tidbits about “the last supper”. Between Nonku and Slee, who was Judas and who was Christ?
